Meem, Tha, Alif – Turaath (Heritage)
A symbol of heritage, as we inherit what we inherit to appreciate and to look after this heritage, thus enabling it to reach the next generations.
The poem is by the Abbasid poet Abu Al-Ataahiah, who tells us “that which really belongs to you is what you are able to spend on good causes, not what you consume and liquidate or leave behind”.
This artwork was produced in 1993, it is acrylic on paper, mounted on canvas, its size is approximately 250cm x 150cm. This artwork is in the collection of the Artist.
