This striking artwork delves into the complexities of truth and the ways in which it is perceived and communicated. Featuring a poignant verse from the philosopher-poet Abul Ala Al Ma'arri, the piece reflects on the idea that sometimes the truth must be whispered, even in the face of injustice or disbelief.

Given the current state of the world, this observation holds a special resonance, according to the artist Ali Omar Ermes. Measuring approximately 150cm x 123cm and made with acrylic and ink on paper mounted on canvas, this vibrant artwork was produced in 1993 and is currently in the artist's collection. It invites viewers to consider the ways in which language can be used to convey and confront the truth, no matter how difficult it may be to hear.
